The Reiki Precepts are perhaps the best kept secrets of the Reiki healing arts system.  Inspired by poetry and philosophy of Japan a century ago, Reiki Founder Mikao Usui crafted these wisdom teachings when he distilled his remarkably powerful healing gifts into practices he could teach and transfer to others.

The practice of using the Reiki Precepts doesn't require any Reiki training or attunements, so anyone can learn and use it right away.  If you have had Reiki training, you'll deepen and expand your experience and practice of the Precepts and gokai.

These Precepts are principles that may appear deceptively simple at first, yet contain such depth and richness of meaning and practical application that I have worked with them for years almost daily and still find new hope, comfort, support and encouragement in them every time I open to their gifts.

The intention for this gathering is to find common ground in this timeless wisdom, without bypassing the difficult truths of our times that we all grapple with in our own ways.  

While acknowledging the realities of highly charged questions, concerns, excitement and even apathy around current events and regular everyday stuff, we won't be naming any political candidates or parties, and no attempts to convince or convert anyone else will be tolerated.  

I truly mean all are welcome here, and I fully expect to include folks who support different candidates, belong to different parties, and some who affiliate with none, to share uplifting, healing companionship.

I encourage you to bring a journal or sketch pad where you can explore your own thoughts, feelings and practical applications in your own life that are illuminated by these 5 powerful Precepts - plus
