Dancing barefoot with the rising tide

Salt water medicine soothes healing journeys still in progress

Heart as full as the Aries Moon, gratitude deep as the Atlantic Ocean

Reiki pouring into waters of the world’s womb, now mine

Honoring ancestors who sailed this sea seeking succor

Many carried over the waves against their will

Natives nearly annihilated in the colonizing onslaught

We embrace lineages woven together, rooted in the same soil

Expanding ripples in community casting sacred circles

Exploring, sharing, releasing

Gathering, celebrating, feasting

Virtual friendships manifest in the flesh

First vacation since visiting then moving to Vermont 21 Octobers ago

Stoplights, traffic jams, detours, wrong turns, finally a gravel road

Crossing two state lines and the threshold 

From warm rainbow-leaf Autumn to chilly bare-branch Fall

Currents carry us home, continue their ebb and flow

Grieving, healing, resting, gaining momentum and waning

Toward Samhain, Scorpio New Moon's still waters run deep

Now . . . time to come in for a gentle landing
